Polyethylene

Polyethylene

Polyethylene (PE) is one of the most widely used thermoplastics, valued for its excellent chemical resistance, toughness, low moisture absorption, and good processability. Its properties can vary significantly depending on molecular structure, density, molecular weight, and processing method. Common PE families include LDPE, PE-X, MDPE, HDPE, and UHMWPE, each offering different combinations of strength, stiffness, flexibility, impact resistance, wear resistance, and temperature performance. These characteristics make PE suitable for applications ranging from packaging and piping to industrial components, tanks, liners, and wear-resistant parts.

Main Polyethylene Grades

Cross-linked PE (PE-X, XLPE )

High Density PE (PE-HD, HDPE)

Low Density PE (PE-LD, LDPE)

Medium Density PE ( PE-MD, MDPE)

Ultra High Molecular Weight PE (PE-UHMW)
